  1. Directions for use:
  2.  
  3. Macintosh:
  4.     Double click on the .TWC file of your choice to access the indexed database.
  5.     Help is available under the "Apple" Menu.
  6.     More detailed help is available in the TextWare User Manual.
  7.     * dates can be searched for in this way: 01/25/1991

  10. DOS:
  11.     The batch file on the root: WTI.BAT will get you started.
  12.     Steps required:             
  13.     1. You must be in the drive that contains the CD.
  14.         (Do this by typing the letter that is the CD drive,
  15.         e.g. type "E:"
  16.         where E is the letter you assigned to the CD drive.)
  17.     2. Type "WTI"
  18.         This is a batch file begins TextWare, which allows you to 
  19.         access the indexed database.
  20.     3. Select the database you wish to view by highlighting the 
  21.         name and pressing enter.
  22.     4. Hints and tips:
  23.         * press the escape key to get past the first screen.
  24.         * press F1 for online help.
  25.         * For more detailed instructions open the TextWare Manual
  26.            by selecting it as the indexed database (see step 3 above.)
  27.         * press the escape key to back out of an operation.

  31. Windows:
  32. To install The Washington Times and Insight in Windows
  33.     From DOS:
  34.     1. You must be in the drive that contains the CD.
  35.         (Do this by typing the letter that is the CD drive,
  36.         e.g. type "E:"
  37.     2.  Type "INSTALL" and press enter.
  38.         This launches the program to install icons in Windows 
  39.         for the Washington Times and Insight.
  40. -OR-
  41.     From Windows:
  42.     1.  Choose "RUN" from the file menu in the Windows Program Manager.
  43.     2.  Type "(drive):\windows\install" to install Icons in Windows 
  44.         for the Washington Times and Insight.
